Isn’t this true that we all have brilliant ideas we want to execute or goals we want to achieve, only to let them slip away because we couldn’t figure out how to make them happen? I can say almost certainly that we all had a nagging feeling that we could achieve more than we currently do but are unsure how to get there. The power of manifestation can help you turn those ideas into reality and reach your maximum potential.
Manifestation is the process of bringing your thoughts and ideas into physical reality. Manifestation is based on the law of attraction, which states that like attracts like. Remember Rumi’s, “what you seek is seeking you.”
The Bhagavad Gita, a Hindu scripture, teaches that manifestation results from one’s thoughts, beliefs, and actions. It emphasizes the importance of maintaining a pure and focused mind and cultivating positive attitudes and actions to manifest one’s desires.
Your thoughts, emotions, mindset, and beliefs create a vibrational frequency that determines what you attract into your life and shapes your reality. Creating a vibrational frequency that aligns with your desired outcome will attract the people, resources, and opportunities you need to realize it. This means that whatever you focus your thoughts and energy on, positive or negative, will be attracted to your life.
Recent studies have shown that manifestation can significantly impact our lives by helping us achieve our goals, improve our mental health, and increase our overall well-being. For example, a study published in the Journal of Positive Psychology found that people who engaged in positive visualization exercises experienced greater happiness and well-being than those who did not. A study by the University of Manchester found that people who visualized their goals were likelier to achieve them than those who didn’t.
Limiting beliefs is one of the biggest obstacles to manifesting your ideas into reality. Limiting beliefs are often rooted in fear, self-doubt, and negative self-talk. Common examples of limiting beliefs include “I’m not good enough,” “I don’t have enough time,” and “I’ll never be successful.”
Focus on overcoming limiting beliefs and not letting them undermine your potential. Write down why you are good enough and deserving of success. Repeat these positive affirmations to yourself daily until they become your new belief system. Set specific, measurable, achievable but challenging, relevant, and time-bound goals. Break them down into smaller, manageable action steps.
Many people have spoken about how the power of manifesting helped convert their dreams into reality. For example, Jim Carrey has talked about writing himself a check for $10 million when he was struggling, visualizing himself receiving the money and eventually getting paid $10 million for a movie role.
My story is a testament to the power of manifesting and the importance of maintaining a positive and determined mindset. I have turned my dreams into reality by visualizing my desires, creating positive thoughts, and acting toward my goals. While growing up, my only big desire was to leave my hometown and never return. Over time, this turned into a burning desire that I was willing to do anything. Eventually, I moved out to do MBA and never looked back and then started a series of manifesting ideas followed by action to turn them into reality.
Some other examples include getting a job at a company that I thought could be a breakthrough in my career, moving to the U.S., and now getting a green card. I can see a pattern in my story where your intuition provides you with an idea, which is challenging, but if you start believing that it is achievable and are willing to do whatever it takes, the entire universe conspires to make it happen.
I greatly relate to Vishen Lakhiani, owner of Mindvalley, on the subject. He says the key to manifestation is to practice the state of “flow,” where you’re in the present moment and fully engaged in what you’re doing. Doing this lets you tap into your intuition and let the universe guide you toward your desires. Similarly, after I read Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, I could relate it to my life. Mr. Hill believed that thoughts could be transformed into physical reality. He said that the first step towards manifesting one’s desires is clearly defining them in one’s mind, which should be accompanied by a strong, positive emotion, such as faith, love, or hope, followed by an organized action.
The technique of manifesting ideas for growth has put me on an unrelenting life-long pursuit of stretching my boundaries. I believe this has happened to all of us at some point in life. However, if we can consciously take on the process and act deliberately in that direction, we can achieve much more profound outcomes. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can.
So how can you start manifesting your dreams into reality? Here are some tips to get started:
Visualize your goals – take some time each day to visualize your goals. See yourself already having achieved your goal and feel the emotions that come with it.
Focus on positive thoughts and emotions – maintain a positive outlook and avoid negative thoughts and emotions. Negative-self talk could be detrimental and confuses the mind.
Act – nothing could be achieved by just manifesting. Ultimately, you must organize and pursue an action plan every day. Undoubtedly, there will be days without progress and inevitable failures, but persistence will help you stay on course. If needed, change the action plan but do not give up.
Trust the process – manifestation takes time and patience. Remember, ideas become a reality when preparation when meets opportunity. You can only take control of your preparation. The universe is always creating opportunities. Trust that the universe works in your favor and that everything will fall into place.
