Reflections from my life so far – Look inward; you have everything to evolve gracefully and be successful!

The nature of life is such that when we look back, we often think about how silly we were. I also think the same way when I look back at my life. Like every other person, it is easy to say that the early part of my life was nothing short of a “struggle.” It was a struggle of “scarcity” to some extent, but more so, it was about not realizing the power of a “growth mindset.”

Let me explain. I believed for many years that my adolescence and early adult life were riddled with scarcity. Not the lack of parental love, food, and shelter, but the shortage of resources, such as money, information and guidance, and inspiration and motive.

I grew up in a small town in northern India with my big joint family and limited means. Being the eldest, I got to go to the best school in the city, but the best was far from the average of what was needed to thrive. We never traveled, not for recreation or education. The world was too small for me. The education system doesn’t teach you to ask questions or foster curiosity. Long story short, I only wanted a chance to get out of that place. I didn’t know how.

My golden chance came in the form of pursuing an M.B.A. in a relatively bigger city. I knew it was an ordinary college, not that I deserved a premier institution. It was my gateway to the world I had been dreaming of. As expected, it didn’t help much in academics except for a degree, but it certainly gave me different life experiences and broadened my thought process.

I started my first job in 2003 amid a recession. I settled for a job I first did not want to do and then changed them frequently for the next five years. I looked up to one of my childhood friends for inspiration and wanted to work at the same company. During these years, I attempted to get in many times and finally succeeded at my fifth interview. I was happy.

This was when I started realizing the power of mindset. I also understood that I was ignorant and that fixing my mind on issues surrounding scarcity was my biggest obstacle. Now, when I look back, it wasn’t all that bad, and there were still some good things I could have used to my advantage.

As I started working at the company I wished to, my mindset turned positive, which allowed me to think creatively and transform nearly all scarcities into opportunities.

I finally understood what a burning desire is and how you plan and achieve it. However, I did all this without knowing and resonating with these words. It worked, and I manifested/created my opportunities to start working at my present workplace and then move to the U.S. in 2017. Since then, one after the other, it has been all about thinking big, making my mind trust that it is real, and planning and executing to make that desire a reality.

The lesson learned is that the world is abundant; it always was. All you need is a positive and creative mindset with an intent to get your fair share.

My mantra: I will find my way or make my own. You might have heard before that luck is when preparation meets opportunity. I trust that an elevated mindset and a relentless desire to excel will not only prepare you for any life situation but has the potential to transform it. The universe reciprocates and is constantly creating opportunities.

As Rumi said, “what you seek is seeking you!”

My Social Responsibility

I want to contribute towards building a global community of conscious and joyful people striving to become most and more of themselves with love and compassion—making the world even more abundant for generations to come.

How can I help

I position my services at the confluence of hardware and the software needed to become more of what we are, push our limits, and become truly unstoppable. I help understand how one can utilize unprecedented innovation (hardware) in conjunction with creative imagination, a positive mindset, and organized action (software).

Technological disruption provides the opportunity for growth, and we are amidst a cornucopia of innovation. Emerging exponential technologies are already changing the world, and we’ve only begun to tap their potential—and our own. These technologies will allow us to achieve great things, and we’ve already seen how evolving technology has revolutionized and disrupted numerous industries. There are analysts for each industry sector, but potentially every economic sector is now being run on technology.

A disruption analyst is needed to fully understand this new wave of innovation, as identifying and understanding a disruption before everyone else is a valuable investment opportunity.

I study the convergence of emerging exponential technologies and how a new generation of innovations brings transformative change. I have successfully tracked exponential technologies for over a decade, working with a team where we had a successful track record of identifying disruptive change and the stocks that are pure plays for these technologies, year after year.

Disruption provides an opportunity for personal and financial growth. Evolving technology is an opportunity for us to disrupt our stagnant patterns and maximize human potential. Ambitious? Sure, it is. But as Rumi says, “What matters is how quickly you do what your soul directs.” None of us have infinite time, so we should take the opportunity to become the people we want to be, leading the lives we want to live.

Recognizing opportunity is the first step, but it must be followed by an organized plan of action and the persistence to pursue it. My purpose is not just to identify that potential but to go the extra mile to ensure it can be actualized.
